My current IT experience and skills.

Since I was a child I liked to learn about computers. I always wanted to know, how computer works and how it's possible, we can do a lot of different things with using only one device.


As my High School, I've chosen an IT College, where I've improved my computing knowledge. In my home country, I passed three qualifications of different IT parts (diagnostics of hardware and software, computer networks and creating websites together with computer applications).


I attended Programming Club, where I've learned how to programme in C++, Java, JavaScript and PHP. As a part of this lessons, I was a member of the project realised with one of the University Science Club in Poland, where we created a robot, which could automatically sort the balls, based on their colour.


After my High School, I worked for over one year as a member of Computer Service. My work was repairing the computer hardware, solving the tickets regarding software (usually ERP software), network issues and giving advice about peripherals to our customers.

Opinion about safety (Survey Analysis)

In my questionnaire, I asked people about their feeling of internet safety. The question was "How safe do you feel with using internet services?" Author's work, 1 - not safe, 5 - very safe         As we can see, the majority of the group is feeling safe on the Internet. Only 6 of the responders are feeling completely safe, which is negative, because they may be less focused during using the Internet, which can cause an opportunity to be charmed by hackers. Development of cybersecurity technologies is possibly a reason, why nobody feels completely unsafe on the Internet. Author's work, 1 - not safe, 5 - very safe   However, the general feeling of safety on the Internet is not related to using online payments. As we can see in the diagram, more people are worried about their safety in case of online payments. Comparison of these 2 diagrams may suggest, people are more worried about their money, than their sensitive data such as name, address, location etc.

The history of cryptography begins antiquity. In the antique times, the most used technique was encrypting. To prevent reading the messages by an unwanted person, people used a simple cyphers. For example, Julius Cesar used the cypher, named after in his honour, to encrypt military orders and official messages (McFadden, 2018). Cryptography is an important part of the military. For every country is important to keep their military data protected against other countries, potentially opponents. In the past, breaking the encryption keys made a milestone point of wars. According to Inman's (2020), breaking the Enigma (German encryption machine used during II World War) key was important in localising the U-Boats and destroying them. Between 1940 and 1943 the number of destroyed U-Boats was over 1100. Some estimates say, breaking Enigma key reduced the Wartime by over one year (Inman, 2020).
